Seating and Staging

Seating can be found in almost any venue, including school halls, theatres, drama studios, cinemas, village halls – the list is endless! We can offer many types of seating as part of a composite project, or on its own, including manually or electrically operated retractable tiered units, straight or curved fixed tiering, and even mobile or demountable tiering units.

We will discuss your requirements and provide a free no-obligation quotation. Installations follow a detailed site survey and design works, supplemented by IPAF, PASMA, CSCS and IOSH safety certification, together with appropriate testing documentation at project completion. Refer to our maintenance section for details of our inspection and repair services, following which we provide a report, compliance documents and safety certification. (Retractable seating should be inspected annually to comply with PUWER regulations.)

Tiered or flat floor areas can have individual upholstered seats or benches, with continuous or individual writing tablets for lecture or conference use, also removable seats for wheelchair spaces, and a variety of portable seats and trolleys are available. We can also provide fixed or retractable tiering without seats, which are ideal for choirs, or to use with flexible portable seating.

Staging units are usually portable, allowing them to be used in many configurations, not just as a stage, but also as tiering, catwalks, exhibition tables, stage extensions or even for dining. Many accessories are available for portable staging, such as storage trolleys and castors, fabric skirts, handrails, access ramps and a selection of deck finishes, plus many more options.
